Stop and Stare

I’m not really sure if anyone actually keeps track of what I post here, but whatever – I’ll post this. I haven’t actually gone to do any photography for some time. The reason being is that I can’t find a medium that I want to photograph; nothing has caught my eye. It’s a little depressing if you ask me. I may go for a walk later today and see if I can get some animal inspired photos from the farms all over and around my house, so here’s hoping.

Anyway, for those who actually look at this – thanks for watching.

Baby it’s cold outside

I do not approve of being cold, but sometimes if you want a photograph badly enough, you’ll deal with it. Although, it’ll be rather quickly since I hate the cold – a lot.

Anyway, I’ve managed to put up a few more seasonal photographs on my deviantART account but none up here just yet. Why? Well as I post this I’m technically not at home. For those who don’t know – I hate being up early just as much as I hate being cold *Laughs* I’m waiting going to work for 11AM so I’m just vegitating in my Mom’s office until then. Thank you Tim Hortons!

Please stay tuned, I will be posting up some photography on here that I probably won’t put on my deviantART account because I’m not entirely sure if I want to, or if I think it’s worth it.

OK. So I’ve finally started up a bit of seasonal photography. Took me some time to find a medium I wanted to actually photograph. In honesty, I was looking and waiting for the snow to show up as much as I highly dislike the cold. The header to which I’ve changed for this account is one of the photos. I’ve submitted these photographs to my deviantART account as normal as well as it’ll eventually appear upon my Flickr account which is located on the right side-bar.

Anyway, be sure to keep yourself posted for I’ll be starting to take a few more night shots with Christmas lights. I’m hoping I’ll get some really nice ones this year.

Temporary Hiatus (Possibly)

Seeing that I’ve photographed as much as I possibly could in regards to Autumn and I haven’t come across any new subjects to take photos of, I haven’t actually uploaded much of anything. I’d like to get a few more wildlife photos and even try to take some shots of people but so far I haven’t come across anyone or anything to use just yet.

Anyway, for the odd few who actually DO visit this, I just thought I’d let you know.

I have a buyer!

I’m so excited! I finally have someone who seriously wants to purchase some of my photography. At first I thought he was just pulling my chain, or trying to be polite but he seriously wanted to. He wants 7 photos in all, which is a lot. A co-worker of mine, I’ll end up printing them while at work and giving it to him towards the end of the day.

I finally edited and uploaded one of my “portraits” that I took while attending a wedding I was invited to in September. I just like how casual it seemed but posed all at the same time. Just happened to be a fluke that it came out the way it did, and that’s usually the best kind. As you can see, I’ve edited the layout a touch and added some samples of my photography on the side courtesy of Flickr. I don’t normally want to use those but I figured it was there, it’s easy and I’ll get over it.

Anyway,  my next attempt is to see what type of Halloween photos I can come up with. I’m going to try to keep it local simply because of my transportation issues and apparently there’s a few houses here that decorate their houses pretty nicely. I’m not sure how successful I’ll be since my night-time shots tend to come out pretty crappy. I’m not use to using my cameras features just yet and wandering around with the instruction booklet frustrates me a little.

Well, wish me luck!

Stop the Presses!

I’ve been a tad curious to see if anyone would consider purchasing prints of some of my photography. Now, I still don’t have a whole lot to really provide and I’ve also organized (with help) my deviantART account more thoroughly. So feel free to take a gander there. Fall is starting to show up more and more. My apples are falling out of the tree! I’m actually hoping to get some really brilliant Fall photos. I use to live in a very secluded area South of here, about an hour away and when Fall showed up the Birch trees would change colours. The vibrant yellows, red, green and browns against the white bark was very nice.

I hope to make my way to that place again and take a bunch of photos. Hopefully I can do it. But, back to the subject at hand. For those who pay attention to this page, would you consider purchasing anything from me? I’m considering the usual sizes: 4×6″, 8×10″, 8×12″ and maybe even poster size. All depends.

Oh! And here’s a teaser of some of the stuff that’s changed on my dA account.

Up Close and Personal

I have a few photos of my cat, Friday in my folder on my PC and haven’t really uploaded any of them simply because they’re pretty out of focus unless they’re shrunk to a smaller size. Since I don’t think I’ll be posting them on my deviantART account I figured I’d post them here as a pleasant exclusive for anyone who visits.

Gaining Momentum

The things I do to try and get good photos. Hah. Massive sunburn on my back though I expected as much. I managed to take about 87 photos at a local Agricultural Fall Fair here in Powassan ON where I live. Gave me a reason to get out of the house, and an excuse to buy a cowboy hat! *Laughs*

Here’s one of the photos I managed to take while there. There was a petting zoo with all sorts of critters and I didn’t notice this one until I had come back for a second try since the first time there were a lot of children around. No wonder I missed it. It was above my eye level, which isn’t very high! (FYI: I’m 5′1″) I’ve also posted a few others on my deviantART account since I haven’t quite mastered how to display a gallery on WordPress just yet. Hope you enjoy!!

Parrot

The parrot was quietly sitting up on the perch and started to fall asleep in the sun.

Heads Up!

I’m coming up to a few days off from my part-time job and I’ll be taking a few photos. Now, if financially able I’ll be heading to the GTA and may finally get some shots I’ve been wanting to do for the past 4-5 years while I lived down that way. If so, stay tuned!  I’ve been meaning to get some more cityscape shots since I have a knack for landscapes and outdoor photos (so I’ve been told by friends and other viewers).

If you, the viewer, have any ideas for photography that you’d like to see me try, or even some suggestions on how to make my photography better, I’m always up for some positive feedback. Once again, thank you for visiting. I really appreciate it :)

RideFridaySTFU (From left to right)
Go for a Ride
This was taken at the Powassan ON Maple Festival. The horse and carriage would take people to the Maple Syrup Farm just down the road. I really liked the colours on the strapping and the horses in this photo.

Friday
That, is my little (devilish) kitten, Friday. Not sure why my Mom called him Friday but it stuck. He’s a little fart and thinks he’s a puppy.

STFU
That, well, that needs a lot of explaining *laughs* Ubastyyat and I have been friends for a good 14+ years and she has a dinosaur mask that I got her to wear while wearing suit-like attire. We went just down the road in Garson ON to where a subdivision was being constructed and took photos in the remains of the trees and construction. This was totally done for laughs.

Because I have to run to work shortly, I don’t have time to hotlink the images so feel free to go to my deviantART account and view the gallery.
